When your doctor is not listening, you should not have to fight to be believed
HEARD helps you document your symptoms, prepare for appointments, escalate concerns, and coordinate care, so the people treating you take you seriously.

Why HEARD Exists
HEARD was born from a life-or-death experience. Our founder, Rachell Dumas — a registered nurse with over a decade of healthcare experience, over a decade specializing in the implementation and maintenance of electronic health record systems, holder of an MSN in Nursing Informatics, and a Doctoral Candidate in Nursing Informatics — spent years being dismissed by healthcare providers while suffering from a serious neurological condition that required two brain surgeries and nearly cost her life. HEARD is the tool she wished existed — built so no one else has to fight alone to be believed.
"I almost lost my life because my voice didn't matter. HEARD exists to make sure every patient's voice is impossible to ignore."
— Rachell Dumas, RN, MSN · Founder & CEO
What changes when you use HEARD
Four moments where being dismissed usually happens, and what HEARD does about each one.
Symptom documentation
Without itYou describe months of symptoms from memory in a seven minute visit, and it comes out sounding vague.
With HEARDYou arrive with a dated, pattern-tracked record of what happened, how often, and how it affected your life.
Appointment preparation
Without itYou remember the question you actually needed to ask in the parking lot afterward.
With HEARDYou walk in with your concerns ranked and the exact questions to ask, written from your own notes.
Escalation messages
Without itYour concern gets brushed off and you do not know who to tell or how to say it without sounding difficult.
With HEARDYou send a clear, professional message to your provider or hospital administration that is hard to ignore.
Caregiver coordination
Without itFamily members repeat the same story to every new clinician, and details get lost between them.
With HEARDEveryone helping you works from one shared timeline, so nothing has to be explained twice.

"HEARD recognizes the symptoms that others might dismiss as 'normal' and helps you advocate for the care you need."
Maternal Care
Postpartum Warning Signs
The Challenge
New mothers often experience symptoms that are dismissed as 'normal postpartum recovery' when they could indicate serious conditions like preeclampsia or hemorrhage.
How HEARD Helps
- Identifies symptoms matching postpartum warning signs
- Provides evidence-based questions to ask your care team
- Documents symptom timeline for emergency visits
- Guides you to request appropriate monitoring
Expected Outcome: Early detection of postpartum complications leads to timely treatment and better outcomes for mothers.
What Our Community Says
Real feedback from early users who are helping shape HEARD.
"Wow! What you have done so far is amazing. There has been so many times (even in my most recent high-risk pregnancy) that I wish I had detailed what went on during my appointments."
I love that this platform gives people the voice that they need to be heard.

How HEARD works
Designed to support people in the moment and to help organizations understand what support is actually needed.
- Step 1
Share what is happening
A patient or caregiver shares a concern, goal, or healthcare need in their own words.
- Step 2
Get organized and prepared
HEARD helps organize the information and prepare the person to take action at their next appointment or call.
- Step 3
Connect to the right next step
HEARD connects the person with relevant care, benefits, resources, or escalation pathways.
- Step 4
Partners see the patterns
Enterprise partners receive aggregated, de-identified insights about engagement, barriers, and trends.

Turn patient advocacy into actionable Benefits Intelligence
HEARD helps organizations understand more than enrollment. Our Benefits Intelligence shows how people engage, where they experience barriers, which resources they need, and where existing benefits may be underutilized. Employers and brokers can use these insights to strengthen communication, improve benefits utilization, and make more informed benefits decisions.
Dashboard examples below are empty-state previews. No customer data, sample numbers, or projected outcomes are shown. All enterprise reporting is aggregated and de-identified.
